Minx Contemporary Hair Boutique Toowoomba
Toowoomba’s first ever school based apprentice at the age of 14.
Once I finished my school based apprenticeship she continued on as a full time apprentice and started in my 3rd year straight after high school.
A short time later, after completing my apprenticeship Beau went on to opening her own salon, Minx Contemporary Hair Boutique. This was 6 years ago now and has grown her team to 12 staff and 3 school based girls.
This year alone – she has achieved
- Winner of the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce Lifestyle category 2015
- Top 3 Finalist for Salon of the Year at the Australian Hair Fashion Awards 2015
- Top 3 Finalist for Queensland Training Awards (Darling Downs South West Region) Small Employer of the Year 2015
- Finalist for Australian Bridal Industry Academy for Queensland Bridal Stylist of the Year 2015
- Management Committee for City Heart Fashion Event 2015
- Hair and Make-up Director Runway to Runway Fashion Event for Jackie Howe Festival 2015
Beau has followed her mother and grandmother (both hairdressers and business owners) for inspiration, always aiming to better her skills and aim for recognition on a national stage. Her salon has been recognised as competition to salons in Sydney and Melbourne and her vision is inspiring to those in the industry as well as having a high fashion salon in Toowoomba. With clients travelling from all over the region, she has researched a highly successful online portfolio.
Her next goal for the business is to complete our Minx Collection Style shoot to redevelop our salon website and better our salon online brand. We inspire people through our Facebook and Instagram and want our web site to follow in line with this vision.
