Laura Scurr

Laura Scurr has proudly overcome great adversity to be where she is today. She has three degrees (Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Business and Graduate Certificate in Business) and is now the owner and Principal Consultant of Toowoomba’s Business Solutions after applying for 170 jobs.  Laura is heavily involved in her community serving on the Cambooya District Australia Day Committee as well as her involvement in the non-profit Toowoomba Cycling Development Ltd, where she worked part time and volunteered for up to 30 hours each weel as well as being volunteering in a variety of other community organisations.

She is focused on employment prospects for people with a disability and has shared her vision or change at The Red Rose Ball, the Launch of the Toowoomba Business disAbility Awards and at numerous USQ events including the Tertiary Preparation Program and the Disability Action Week celebrations. She also served on the USQ Disability Advisory Committee from 2007-2010.  Laura has also recently been re-elected as the Treasurer of the Hodgsonvale Sports Club.
